Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Begin your adventure by arriving at Kigali International Airport, where our friendly team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, take a Kigali City tour and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, or explore the local markets and cultural hotspots.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, located in the northwest of Rwanda. Along the way, enjoy views of Rwanda's beautiful landscapes, from rolling hills to picturesque villages. Arrive at your lodge near the park, and relax in preparation for the next day’s thrilling gorilla trekking adventure.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Today is the highlight of your trip – the gorilla trekking experience! After a briefing at the park headquarters, you will set off on a guided trek through dense forests in search of one of the habituated gorilla families. Once you encounter these incredible primates, you’ll spend up to an hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and admiring their strength and grace. Return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking or Cultural Tour & Departure
On your final day, opt for a golden monkey trekking experience in the park or enjoy a cultural tour to visit local communities and learn about traditional Rwandan life.
