AKAGERA GAME LODGE

Consisting of highlands, plains, and swamp-fringed lakes, the park is the largest protected wetland in central Africa. Akagera Game Lodge stands on a hill at the southern tip of the Akagera National Park elevated above the savannah with exceptional views of Lake Ihema with a big swimming pool. Akagera Game Lodge is one of the few accommodation options within Rwanda’s Akagera National Park, adjacent to the Tanzanian border. More of a hotel than a traditional safari lodge.

MAGASHI CAMP

Magashi Camp is a new and luxurious safari camp in the far north of Akagera National Park, overlooking Lake Rwanyakazinga. Magashi opened in mid-2019, and provides high-end accommodation in a very scenic safari area.

Magashi offers boat safaris on Lake Rwanyakazinga, an excellent way to view the area’s aquatic animals and water birds. And because the camp is located in Akagera’s only concession, guests can enjoy guided walks and thrilling night game drives. Fishing on the lake is also permitted on a catch-and-release basis throughout the year.

RUZIZI TENTED LODGE

This is also a small luxury tented camp and has 7 en suite tents that are patched on the forest shores of Lake Ihema and each of the tents is well protected by the large palms and trees. The tents were also placed on both sides of the grass thatched main structure that homes the reception area, the lounge, bar and dining area. There are also walk ways with wooden boards that connects each of the tents to the reception area. Its powered using a solar energy and the camp has electricity and hot running water.

This lodge was constructed and was started in January 2012 and was completed and was opened in November 2012. This tented lodge is also the first of its kind with in Rwanda, even though a well proven concept elsewhere in Africa. Was built on the shores on the forested shores of Lake Ihema.

EPIC HOTEL

Providing free WiFi, EPIC Hotel & Suites is located in Nyagatare. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an outdoor pool. The property has a restaurant and a shared lounge.

All rooms at the hotel are fitted with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a bidet. EPIC Hotel & Suites provides certain rooms with pool views, and every room is equipped with a balcony. All guest rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a desk.

Guests at EPIC Hotel & Suites can enjoy a buffet or a full English /Irish breakfast.

The wellness area at the hotel is comprised of a sauna and a fitness centre. You can play tennis at this 4-star hotel, and car hire is available.
